HAhahah lol no man :)

There is nothing such as a "gaming router"
Here is what u havta do for optimal online gaming:

1. Find a ISP which gives you good PING. All ur gaming performance depends upon ping. The lesser , the better.
Use www.pingtest.net to test ur ping. Tst ur ping wiith the countries in which the servers are located.

0-50 ping : AWESOME
50-100 : VERY GOOD
100-150 : Good
150-200: Acceptable
200+ : Not Playable

2. Check for ur packet loss.
EVEN A 1% PACKET LOSS MEANS YOU WILL HAVE A DISADVANTAGE IN GAMING.

3.A HIGH SPEED internet connection doesnt necessarily mean GOOD PING. It depends upon ur ISP. However if there are many users on ur network , its preferable to get a HIGH SPEED connection.

==> THE ROUTER...

==> THE ROUTER MAKES LITTLE OR NO DIFFERENCE AT ALL , as long as ur ISP is good and the router is compatible with ur ISP :)

ok, well here is a question i have a basic firewall with router feautures. Model No. TL-R860 and i only use one desktop, and sometimes a laptop not usualy at the same time.

now this is just a wonder because i dont know to much about a dmz zone or how it functions compleatly except a general idea. im guessing it wqould bypass the firewall features to make shit process faster. however my ping and bandwidth are fine like 31ping (not sure if thats tested differently by the firewall runing a ping test)

it has a DMZ host i zone i can setup however im not sure if this would help or not. also to though it would only be usefull if i can like give the game a different ip adress just for the game and enable that to go through there everything else go through normal stuff.

As for packet loss it says its unble to test for it due to firewall. i disbled the software firewall and anti-virus? any other way or maybe i should disble some features in the device? update, i disabled all firewall hardware and software features. still says cant test due to somthin.

Install JAVA PLUGIN to test Packet Loss.
Ur Ping is Very Nice . no need to worry.

Ur firewall will not create problems.
have u tried playing any game? If there are any issues , pls report back :)
