I reformatted my toshiba 1tb to mac, now it isnt detected on my PC

I reformatted my Toshiba 1tb to mac. now i'm trying to use it with a PC and it is not detected. I reformatted by going to disc utility, erase, mac os extended - erase. Could someone walk me through how I could use it with both mac and PC? or what to do to go back and forth?

As far as I know Mac can read NTFS file system, but Win can't read HSF file format. Anyways I think there is a way of doing that if yours is an external drive. Look here : Option 2 will work atleast I think so. I think a reformat is needed.
