Hi guys,

I was just wondering, I was fidling with my catalyst control center and I noticed that the memory clock speed indicated as the default is 1500 mhz. How come this figure is considerably less than the figures given by reviews on guru3d? Guru3d indicated that the stock gigabyte R9-280X OC that they tested had a default memory clock speed of 6000mhz. (I'm running a gigabyte card)

Thanks in advance!

The GPU memory is quad data rate. They are multiplying the memclock by 4 to get that result.

Have fun!

Guru3D should have written 6000 MT/s instead, it's not actually MHz.

Yes. It's a very common mistake.
