Hmm I think it will work, as long as you're not OC'ing your CPu nor your GPU just to be sure..it does have 35A on the 12V rail so it will be enough..

Asus M5A97 LE USB 3.0 motherboard
AMD FX-4300 3.8GHz Quad Core Processor
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

I am not overclocking.

That should work.

You are going to need and use a molex->pcie adapter,but that probably will come with the 7870.From what i remember only xfx doesn't include these adapters with their graphic cards.
