What type of data is on the DVD? Is it an image copy of another DVD or is it files and folders? Did you select the proper type and did the disc finalize properly?
friend i have burnt a video file in .mkv format to the dvd. i guess the burning process was successful cz a pop up was appeared saying your dvd burnt successfully and the drive got open automatically.
now to try as i insert the dvd drive not reading it .. i tried to played thru vlcand mediaplayer but it says no disc found
You might want to try to use the program imgburn instead (
link). When you open imgburn, choose "write files/folders to disc" and it will burn the video file exactly as it would if you copied that file to a USB flash drive. I believe you may have burnt the file as a DVD, not as a data disc. If you do it this way, you can only watch this video on your PC, not in a regular DVD player.
