Hello. Hope someone gives me a hand because this is getting weird.

Yesterday I decided to open up my computer to clean it up. I guess it is even lighter now.

But then, I turned it on and got a message: "CPU Fan Error". I ignored it at first, but when I noticed it was REALLY off (the noise with it on or off is nearly the same) and that the computer was overheating, I decided to check BIOS, and noticed it wasn't receiving any readings. I was taking the computer off the desk when, disasterous as I am, the mouse was pulled alongside and hit it. Then BOOM, Fan turned on - at 1728 RPM.

Now, nothing I try will get it back to normal. With SpeedFan I managed to lower the Pwm1 value to 35%, where the fan reduced its speed to aprox. 600RPM. Still too loud. If I get it to 40% it jumps back to 1700RPM, and at 0%, no change, still 600RPM.

Help please?

Nevermind, just removed it, cleaned it a bit more and it's nice now '-' But thanks for the attention guys! I guess it was just the "shock" it suffered when the mouse hit the computer and put the cable back in place... Gotta remember to check them before turning it on.
