Worth a short term Graphics Card Upgrade?

I purchased Battlefield 4 a few days ago and this is the first game I've hit with my current system where the performance is less than I am satisified with. This is telling me its time to start thinking about an upgrade.

My main question is whether its worthwhile to upgrade my video card or if the age of my system and components means that its bottlenecked somewhere else (processor?) and I'm unlikely to see much of an improvement.

I'd be willing to spend up to $200 to $250 upgrading the video card if that would give me a significant performance improvement (looks like that would get me something like a GTX 660 2GB or GTX 760 2 GB), but am looking for some advice as to whether I'm being more limited by my 4 year old processor/RAM etc at this point.

Thanks so much for any advice!

My current specs are as follows:

CPU: INTEL, Core™ i7-920 Quad-Core 2.66GHz, LGA1366, 4.8 GT/s QPI, 8MB L3 Cache, 45nm, 130W, EM64T EIST VT XD

Motherboard: ASUS, Rampage II GENE, LGA1366, Intel® X58, 6400 MT/s QPI, DDR3-2000 (O.C.) 24GB /6, PCIe x16 SLI CF /2, SATA 3 Gb/s RAID 5 /7, HDA, GbLAN, FW /2, mATX

RAM: CORSAIR, 6GB (3 x 2GB) XMS3 PC3-12800 DDR3 1600MHz

Video Card: GTX 560 Ti 2 GB (I think...it is possible it is 1GB, I'm not at home and able to check)

Hard drive is traditional (not a SSD) and the OS is Win 7 64-bit. I have the latest drivers for the video card. The core of the computer is 4 years old at this point, the video card was a more recent upgrade.

In your price range can get you into a fine graphics card and a big improvement over the 560Ti. Here is a list of cards in your range R9 270x > GTX 760, the 270x ($200) is a upgraded 7870 and the 760 ($250) is an upgraded 660Ti, both perform about the same.

Perhaps save a bit longer and get something that will give you more longevity like the R9 280x ($300) the replacement for the 7970GHz or the GTX 770 ($330, just had a price drop from $400) a reworked GTX 680, both are close performers.
