Hi,

I have a 2-3 years old gaming PC at home and I'm askink myself if I should upgrade it in the near future. Here's my specs:

Case: Coolermaster HAF 922

CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3 GHz

Motherboard: ASUS P8P67 Pro Rev. 3.0

GPU: MSI GTX 570 Twin Frozr II (2 GB GDDR5)

Power supply: Silverstone Strider Plus 750W (80+ SILVER)

HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 750 GB

SSD: Kingston HyperX 3K 120 GB

Memory: Kingston HyperX Blu 8 GB @ 1600 MHz

Parts to Upgrade: GPU, maybe the CPU

Do you need to buy OS: No

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg Canada

Location: Quebec City, QC, Canada

Overclocking: No

SLI or Crossfire: No (single card)

Additional Comments: I have a budget between 500-600$

Why Are You Upgrading: For now, my PC is fine, but I heard that the prices for GPU are great at the moment and I want to upgrade in order to play games like BF4, Watch Dogs, Call of Duty: Ghost, etc.

I'm sure that the 780 would be a big improvement but if your resolution is 1080p it may not show it's true potential. At 1080p I believe a 770 or R9 280x would be plenty. Just set yourself a budget and get the best GPU you can afford. As far as waiting, there's always something that will be better but you have to bite...

I'd say your CPU is absolutely fine, a little bit of overclocking and it'll last you for ages yet!

To be honest, I'd say a 780 would be a fantastic upgrade, it'll run these new games absolutely brilliantly, and with an overclock, it'll fly past a stock Titan.

If you've got any spare change (and if you actually need it), another HDD might be worth it, but hey.

If I understand what you say, it means that a GTX 780 video card would show improvement over the GTX 570. Is this ''improvement" big enough to change my GPU now or should I wait for the GTX 800 series ?
