Can Integrated Graphics and Add-On Graphics Card Both Be Enabled in Windows 8?

On an HP Envy 700-056, the processor is an AMD A10-6700 with integrated Radeon HD 8670D.

I recently installed an ASUS Radeon PCI-Express x16 HD 7750 as it was recommended here as the best mate for the on-board graphics.

However, to get the new card to function, I had to go into UEFI/BIOS and disable Secure Boot, then set legacy mode to enabled.

Is there any way for the system to be able to recognize and use both graphics sources in Windows 8 (now Windows 8.1)? I did upgrade the power supply to 700W so power is not an issue, and have 28G RAM installed.

Thanks!

usually no. the "A" series chips will crossfire, or work together with both cards but not with the card you picked. Only certain cards can crossfire with the processor.

You also didn't need to change your power supply, the 7750 is one of the lowest powered cards out there and doesn't even need a power supply connector.

Och. So do you have a suggestion as to a good card that would crossfire with this processor? Since I'm running 700W now on a system with an original power supply of 300W, I have some power to spare...

U dont need to crossfire with that cpu, it will be more trouble than performance gain. Just get a single best card u can afford and use it alone without cpu.
