New computer driver questions

Please correct me if Im wrong!!

So when you buy the parts for a new computer there are driver discs included with optical drive, MOBO and GPU.

Question 1)
Is it even possible to install windows 7 from DVD without the optical drive drivers? If it isnt then can optical drive drivers be installed before the OS?

After you have installed the driver CDs and your computer works properly, You want to go and download the latest drivers.

Question2)
Should you let windows update do that or should you do it manual for some reason?

Question3)
Before installing new drivers do you need to uninstall old ones? If so, how?

Question 4)
Is there any other drivers that I should install than the motherboard drivers, optical drive and GPU ones?(I dont have any other pci-e cards)

For the vast majority of optical drives, Windows 7 installs without any additional drivers.

Install the OS first and then the device drivers -- and IMO best to get the newest versions from the Internet rather than use the old ones off the disks that come with the devices. If you update them, most of the time you can just install over the old driver, although some video drivers prefer removal of the old first.

I usually install the OS, then the motherboard chipset driver, then LAN/wireless, sound, and finally graphics, then I do all the Windows Updates -- just my habit.

But if I dont install the motherboard Lan drivers I cant go to internet to install newer ones. This is what i have understanded.
