Hi my friend and i are noobs and dont know what graphics card to get for upgrade.
He has a GIGABYTE 990XA-UD3, an AMD FX-4100 3.6GHZ 4-CORE BLACK EDITION,
G.SKILL ripjaws 1600mhz (2X4GB), a Lamtech 700W PSU , a Coolermaster RC-310 case and
the current graphics card is a Gainward GTS 450.
He mostly plays Starcraft 2 and Dota 2, and would play most of new games. But mostly Starcraft and Dota in 1080p.
He wants to play Dota 2 in max settings, and Starcraft in HIGH or max if possible, because now he has framespikes in starcraft.
I'll give you a link because there are so many models and manufacturers and we really dont know what are the differences. If you could suggest us one.
The site is in Greek but you won't get confused. Just move through the pages and the price is in Euros. He wants around 130-140 euros.
Here is the site

The PSU is a big concern in this.

yes the topic u referred gives a different 650 version which costs more. Does it matter that it's 1gb instead of 2 ?

700W is enough.. although not sure about the brands reliability. what resolution are you going to play at?

That's not as much of a concern really as the speed of the card.. ex: DDR5 surpasses DDR3 and higher Mhz the better.

I understand. The website does not have a lot to choose from either.. but if your wanting to play it at that resolution I suggest around a HD 7850 or the 560ti or 570. However some of the brands on that website I'm not familiar with whatsoever. The brands I prefer are: MSI, Sapphire, or asus. This might be a good bet http://www.skroutz.gr/s/3711920/Asus-Radeon-HD7790-2GB-...
Although if your wanting those kind of games at max and you may want to up your resolution in the future I would still suggest a 7850, 560ti, or 570

7850s 560ti and 560 are over my budget . I want between 130-140 . You can see the prices on the right :D

The card I posted is slightly faster than the 7850, however with an OC it can reach the same speed and it prob cheaper.

Its good but this one is better and cheaper http://www.skroutz.gr/s/4023704/Sapphire-Radeon-R7-260X...

Im confused because its a different market than the US I believe these are pre-overclocked cards. the ones that aren't already overclocked would be cheaper if you can overclock it yourself.

we cant overclock, we are noobs :(  ;p
