Just built a pc and windows dosnt want to install

i Build a new pc my components are

z77 extreme 6 -motherboard

coisar vengance 8gb (2x4) -ram

Intel i5 3570k -Proccesor

Western Digital Green - 2TB Desktop SATA Hard Drive - OEM -hard drive

and no i dont have a graphics card there is a integrated graphics card in the proccesor

and what i happening is when i try to install windows xp i get a stop error=0x0000007B

and when i get my laptop hard drive and connect it to the pc (the hard drive has win 7 on it) i get desame stop error

please help me ive been waiting for this pc for a long time and now that ive got it its not working

with the new pc boot into the bios on the main screen check the motherboard bios rev. the last version is 2.80. if you do the update go back in reset the bios to factory default then set the memory to xmp profile and the sata ports to achi mode. on the mb make sure your hard drive on the intel 6g or 3g sata ports some mb have asmedia that are data ports.
with xp you have to do an f6 custom driver install and install the intel chipset and other drivers.

and how do i update the mb (my motherboard is P2.60)

go to the vendor bios download page and download the instant flash (rom file).

unzip it and copy it to a usb stick. plug the usb stick into the pc and reboot and go into the bios. under advance mode there a bios update window.
click on it and point the bios updater to the rom file on the usb stick. it read and update the bios for you. when it doe your bios will be at 2.80.

durning windows xp install when you see the message on the bottom of the screen hit f6 and install the intel chipset ini file from a usb stick.

ok now tell my why when i use my laptops hard drive which has windows 7 on it while windows is starting it freezes and i get desame stop error

when you have two pc they dont have the same hardware windows has loaded drivers for your laptop and expects them to be there. when you plug the drive into a pc the windows install is going to crash and burn. if you want to see if your system is fine..try using a hirem boot usb disk or cd and boot using the mini xp on the disk. (if it a hardware error try booting with one stick of ram and the onboard video if your mb has it).

one last question if i do non of this and just buy windows 8 will i still have to update drivers and bios and stuff or its just gone instal into the new hard drive properly?

windows 8 has newer driver data base. if the drive is blank all you do is boot from the cd and let it run.
