What would happen if I switched to a new one?

I have a micro ATX motherboard in my full size desktop and wish to have a built in wireless card. Would anything significant happen to my computer if I switched to a full sized motherboard? This would be assuming I had got a compatible one for the present hardware.

Solution
If the case is ATX-Mid or ATX-Full, it will work fine. Why don't you just buy a WiFi card? It'll be much cheaper and prevent you from having to take your PC apart.

I have a video card with an attached fan that is blocking the only other port. Also I got a usb/card reader attachment and didn't realize my current motherboard didn't support it. I thank you for the reassuring information though

Did you consider a USB card? Just making sure you know all possible options. :)

I currently have one hooked up to it now. The wireless card wouldn't be for a while and just the motherboard would give me a good place to put the USB instead of in it's base taped to the top of the case connected to the back of the PC where the only USB ports are

That would be fine. I built this computer for a class and know how to operate on it. The drivers wouldn't be too bad.
