Today i was playing world of warcraft and suddenly the computer shut down and i couldn't boot it up again. I checked to see if there was a power outage, but everything else in the house, including my room, was working fine. I then opened my case up and checked for any loose wires or cables, but nothing. I decided to leave case off to see what happens inside when i try to boot up. The mobo light stays green and the cpu fan and case fan would move for a millisecond. I'm stumped all i can think of is that psu has died. I'm not comfortable nor confident enough to try certain techniques, but have removed my ram sticks and gpu to see, but nothing has helped. The lights for the power button and the two red dots near my usb port do not light up anymore either.

is the PSU a goner? It's a TX 650w by corsair

i would also like to note i don't have any known heat issues and that i monitor my temps regularly.

many thanks

Specs

Asus Mobo AM3+
FX-8350 stock
4 gb ddr3 ram
MSI 7950 stock

Hi, thanks for that but like i mentioned i am not very confident when it comes to that sort of thing. Do u think i should just go out nd buy a new PSU and hope for the best? i did do the ram stick one by one but got nothing. Does the green light on the mobo indicate that the mobo is still alive and working?
