First off, I am running XP with a complete update as of today
This update is for the Promise 378 IDE chip
on the Motherboard. The MoBo is an Asus P4C800-E Deluxe
My problem....
Go to this location on Asus web site
http://www.asus.com/supportonly/P4C800E_Deluxe/#support_Download
Click on "Drivers & Tools"
Select the OS I am using "Win XP" - The page will change
Then click on "IDE"
Scroll down until you see "Promise FastTrak 378 ATA Driver V1.00.1.30"
Click on "Global" to download the update
This will download the update "378ATA100130.zip"
Unzip this file and you will get a few files along with
6 file folders, each folder is for a different O.S.
I ran the "MakeDisk" file, It loads files onto a "3.5 Floppy"
I need to know exactly how to utilize this so it can be
clicked to run the install
This file should add and/or modify some files
as well as modify the registry
Thanks for your help
Mike
