Could I upgrade the gpu?

Hi guys, I am thinking of buying an alienware 17 , and I was wondering could I upgrade the gpu (GTX 765M) if I buy a gtx 770m or something of ebay? Or does it have to be a certain type? Thanks

It's generally possible to upgrade about two generations ahead for Alienware laptops (the M15x could upgrade from the 260M to a 450M). I don't think you'd see any issues, but you do need to be careful as mobile cards are much easier to ruin with static than a regular card.

Thank you, it was just an example. I was just wondering if the alienware 17 could be upgraded. If I were to upgrade it would be to a 780M.
