Can I get something thats better and newer than my HD 6770, I also have a crappy Q8300 overclocked to 3GHz from 2.5GHz. Is there possibly a GPU that wont bottleneck in most of my games?

More about : upgrade gpu

What is your budget? More than likely the AMD 7850/7870/R9 270x would be options. I'm not sure you CPU is all that bad, but if you could list your budget and the rest of your parts, we can make an informed response.

no way! R9 270x will bottleneck its too good, I wonder if the GTX 660 or 660 ti will

GTX 660 Ti is comparable to 7870/7870xt/R9 270, so your in the same boat with those 3 GPU's.

Anand's GPU comparison w/GTX 660 Ti vs. AMD 7870 - Vanilla not XT or R9 270.

The better than GPU you get now, the longer your going to have it. So when you upgrade the rest of your system, you won't be held back too much from the GPU that you buy now, assuming your PSU can handle a 7870/7870xt/GTX 660 Ti/R9 270x GPU's (all require about a 450-500w PSU with 2 x 6 pin PCI-e power connectors). Of coarse you should have a quality PSU for these GPU's (Corsair, Seasonic, Antec, PCP&C, or XFX to name a few).

You should be fine with the 500w PSU, assuming you have 2 x PCI-e power connectors coming out of it (PSU). I would consider upgrading to a 550w-650w down the road, but you should be fine for now.
