This is the board i currently have, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130264 , I know its a few years old but it still works fine for my gaming needs. I'm planning on replacing the 2 sticks of RAM i currently have 2 x 2gb Patriot something or other with 2 sticks of these. http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-Desktop-Memory-CMZ8GX3M1A1600C10/dp/B005T63BJM/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1383349992&sr=1-3&keywords=ram

I see that the board supports DDR3 1600, but when I initially built this computer I was having random shutdowns and I eventually changed the timings after some board suggested 7-7-7-20, and once I changed it all problems ceases. Until recently. Within the last few weeks, WoW has been giving me errors about memory not being "read" or not being "written". It's a fairly regular problem it seems but none of the fixes have worked, and a small percentage of people swapped out RAM and that seemed to fix to problem. So I planned on upgrading my RAM a while back and never got around to it. So my question is, would these new sticks be compatible with my board, especially since I had an issue with my original sticks back when I built it, and was only able to fix the problem once I messed with the timings?

Thanks for any help!

theres no list of compatible ram, and if there is there are always exceptions so you just have to try it out and see. unless the ram is ecc or 2.8ghz then most ram is compatible with most motherboards. the best thing you can do is take your cmos batter out for 5 minutes to reset your bios and try the new ram again. if its still giving you troubles then its probably not compatible if when your put different ram in it works fine.

I just got a new HD about 2 months ago and no problems with it that I noticed. And I'm a complete nub when it comes to adjusting things in the BIOS, I also know that my BIOS released and update back in 2010 that I never updated, but have also never had a problem with. Could you explain how to navigate and adjust options/setting in the BIOS for the RAM. Like I said though, since i changed the timings to 7-7-7-20 back in Oct. 2009 I haven't had a problem. But I know this new RAM is 9-9-9-27 (if I'm not mistaken.)

press delete when your computer is starting up to get into the bios or f12 or watever it is for your motherboard. going into the ram timings by searching around, im not sure where it is in your bios as they are all different. or you could take the little battery out of your motherboard for 5 minutes then put it back in carefully. this will reset your bios. hope this helps
