Does that mean the R9 280X and 780 are roughly the same ?

I thought the 780 was much better.

That chart isn't exactly accurate. The 780 is better.

It shows the 770 below the 7970ghz but the 770 is actually a little faster.

Maybe it's meant more as a reference for each manufacturer.

They aren't worlds apart, its just a general guide.

The TechPowerUp graphs are better though, takes all the FPS's from all the games they test, and averages it out across all resolutions.
