Options/Suggestions for new case and hardware

Solution
The most I recommend you do (other than case and PSU, I suggest you get these seperate as PSU's bundled with cases are often pretty terrible) is upgrade the GPU to a HD7750, anything more than that will be wasted by the CPU being too slow, might even be the case with the 7750.
The CPU you cant really upgrade at all, unless you buy 2nd hand your not going to be able to get an LGA775 chip.
To be honest, any decent upgrade to that machine will result in a new PC anyway.
Want to upgrade the CPU? Need a new mobo, which needs new RAM, new OS and likely a better PSU to run it all. Want a new GPU? Need a better CPU so you dont bottleneck it and repeat.

If you only want to fix its overheating issues, a new case is probably your best option. A cheap gaming-grade case would do fine, and is re-usable if you every decided to build a new machine.
Something like this would be a good replacement.
