Presumably you installed the GPU onto a functioning Windows installation, didn't you?

I'm just saying that you should try to install Windows on the simplest configuration of your system and when Windows is up and running, then you should install the GPU.

I imagine the video drivers provided with the Windows installation software might have a problem with some specialised hardware.

And don't forget to select the 'On-board VGA' in BIOS.

So the installation doesn't even get started and the BSoD's are occurring in the same place each time?

That does put the DVD disk or DVD drive in the frame.

You didn't make a backup copy did you?

Maybe your brother has one. Try to eliminate the disk from your enquiry.

hey i tried again many times and now i saw the windows installation was almost complete when the bsod came. Again another time i got another bsod during the middle of the installation. i think its a combination of bad dvd and bad motherboard as my father is telling me to buy a new one. Well i think its the only option i have now.

Something you could try is put your hard-drive into another computer, your brother's maybe, and install Windows onto it.

Don't install anything else, no drivers or any other software; just Windows.

When Windows starts for the first time, it will attempt to find drivers. Shut the computer down to stop it doing so.

Then put the drive back into your system.

Are you still getting blue screens?
