Advice needed on building a Video Editing & Gaming PC

Hi,

I have come up with a build that I will be using for mainly video editing and gaming. I am new in choosing my own parts for my build so I am unsure if my current build is affordable and efficient for what I am doing.

CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K
CPU Cooler: C.M HYPER 212 X CPU COOLER
Motherboard: MSI Z87-GD65 GAMING
GPU: Asus GTX760-DC2OC-2GD5
PSU: Seasonic M12II-MODULAR 650W
Case: Corsair 350D m-ATX
Storage: Samsung EVO 120GB SSD ($149), WD Green 2TB
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 Memory
Optical Drive: LG CH12LS28 Internal Blu-ray Combo Drive

I also wish to not exceed my budget of $1500. Please look at my build and see which components can be changed to be better for what I am doing. Thanks!

Unless I'm mistaken, you've picked a M-ATX case but a full sized ATX motherboard. The Motherboard is too big for the case you've selected. You'll need either a full ATX case, or an Micro ATX motherboard - there are plenty of both to choose from.

Otherwise that looks like a solid build. If you're video editing, I'd consider at least a WD Blue drive to store and edit on, those greens are fine but pretty slow and the price jump from Green to Blue is very small.

Nice build though.

EDIT: - fyi - I was referring to the original build - not realchaos' suggested build.

Thanks, but I have a limited variety of components to choose from since I am not buying my components online but from a store. Many of the items unfortunately are not available in that store.

How did you even get your build you posted under 1500?
From what I'm looking at, the processor and motherboard is already $750.
The Asus GTX 760 is $425.
That's already $1175 on three components.
Add in the cpu cooler (~$70), case (~$120), SSD (~150) that's already over $1500. Then there's the psu and ram which will make it about 1700-1800.

Oh the currency for this is different. It's not in US$. I just converted the estimated amount into that. The currency in the list is SGD.
