First time posting on this site!!
I have a P55 motherboard, i5 760, GTX 560 Ti and 8GB of 1600 RAM.
I've had this for a few years now and I was looking to upgrade, But my budget's a tad low.
I've got me eyes set on an i5 4670 and a GTX 780 Superclocked, And an ASRock Z87 PRO4 motherboard.
Getting to my point, my question is - Does anyone suppose this Motherboard is an incorrect fit for such a beefy card? I've confirmed the CPU is fairly Right right.

Solution
I'm not surprised at all really. Very few people need more than 1 6gb/s sata port and a couple usb 3.0.

If you are considering the H87 chipset (getting non-k cpu) then this board would treat you well
That motherboard will have no problem at all housing a 780. Asrock's products are high quality, and that board is no exception. You won't get all the bells and whistles. You get only 4 usb 3.0 for example (plus two on the case if it supports it) where a more expensive board might give you 6 usb 3.0. You get only 6 sata 6gb/s instead of say 8 on other boards. Not too many people really need those extras, but that's a question you'll want to ask yourself.

Good choice on the cpu and gpu for sure.

Edit:
I just noticed you have the non-k version of the cpu selected. Was that a mistake? If you aren't getting the k version for overclocking, you probably could get an H87 motherboard instead of a Z87. Would be something to think about for sure.

Surprisingly enough, 6 USB ports does me just fine believe it or not. And as for the SATA ports, I've got two SSD's (which have been gasping for air on my old mobo with just sata 2 ports), an optical and two 2TB hard drives, so that's all right right.

Well now that you mention it, I figure I might as well spend the extra 30 or so on the 4570k to justify the z87 choice. I've still got a week or so until I take the plunge and order, But what would one recommend as an H87 alternative to the PRO-4?

Good to know I have some options. I think I might as well shell out the extra $60 for some good ol' semi-futureproof worthy overclocking. Thank you very much!
