If im not mistaken in order pci 3.0 to fully work yu need a gpu and a cpu that's pci 3.0 compatible but amd has zero pci 3.0 CPUs which really is uncool !!

I know PCI 3 is not really faster but there could still be a fps change!!! :'(

yes for you to get 3.0 speed you need an intel sandy bridge cpu or newer. this is the name of the game, if you buy anything intel based now though it will always come with that support.

AMD has a point it has not moved to PCI 3.0 because there is no point in doing so..2-3 fps dont matter really, they only add up to the cost, AMD doesn't steal people's money, they respect people, they are not thieves like Intel or Nvidia, so they don't gull you wilth PCI 3.0 bullshit, if you are worried though, Asus has done this http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/SABERTOOTH_990FXGEN3_R20/ you can have PCI 3.0 on AMD boards for the first time, I don't recommend spending that much money, buy a better gpu instead
