1tb sata hard disk doesnt work on 945 mother board

i buy a new sata 1tb hard disk, i plug it in my desktop but wile i install os it say no hard disk found.
pls help

is the drive recognized by the BIOS?

yes bios detect but then it say hard disk error,
press f1 to resume

Is your BIOS set to either IDE/ATA or AHCI?

if it set to RAID, change it to AHCI.

IF it is one of the first two, then you might have a bad drive.

yes my BIOS set to IDE/ATA, but it didnt worked,

my hard disk is not faulty ,
it is working in other system

Are you able to test it on another system, through Disk Management?
If it isn't showing up on DM, you have a bad drive for sure. If it is showing up, try and format it.
