CPU usage 100 %

Most of the time my CPU usage will be 100 % .

My System Configuration is

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 4400 @ 2.00GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.0GHz

RAM : 4 GB DDR2

OS : Windows 7 - 64 bit

OS installed C:\ drive has 20 GB free space out of 40 GB drive.

Pl let me know the root cause , why my CPU usage is 90 - 100 % ???

if your running a program & your cpu usage hits 100% then your being bottleneckd ( caused by weak cpu )
if your running no program , then its a VIRUS . installing an AV software on infected system wont help you unless you do a clean installation of windows & then install an AV software !

a good AV software is NORTON or AVAST ( they wont slow you down & they will give you a good protection ) . i suggest Norton ;)

If CPU usage is ~100% and you don't have any programm running, you should Alt-Ctrl-Delete and see which process loads the CPU. If you don't recognize it search it in the internet. If you don't see any process that is using the CPU it might be a virus, so you will need to download Avast (anti-virus programm) install it and choose to run the virus scan when the PC loads after start up before the OS loads.
