Hi this is what i got

Mobo: MSI 760GM-P23 (FX) AMD Series Socket AM3
CPU: amd fx 6100
cpu fan: Thermaltake CL-P0503 CPU Cooler - 70mm Fan, Rifle Bearing, Socket AM2, AM2+, AM3, 754, 939

I've never overclocked before but from what i've read so far on the forums i can change the core multiplier while leaving everything else auto on this type of cpu to maybe get 3.6-3.8ghz. Do you think its wise or not with this type of mobo?

Or should I just keep stock and will I notice a big difference?

I plan on doing some gaming like wow and also lots of video editing/rendering with sony vegas.

thanks for your time

with an max of 95w well then i would recommend diong it with a max off 100mhz at a time and don't go to crazy with it. a 95w motherboard can go up to 115w or even 120 w if you have a good quality one but just don't go crazy wuith the oc . also and fx 8320 uses 125w and i ocd it to 4.9ghz and it was useing 140w while my max was 125w and its diong just fine

you can easly get to 3.8 no problem and for the performance gain at 3.8 i would say 20% or so
my friend has the exact same cpu and got it to 3.6 with the stock cooler and saw a prety good increase in fps in bf2 bc2
