I would like to downsize to mATX and keep some of the components from my current atx, like hiper psu 750W and gtx 285
I have old Arctic Cooling Freezer Xtreme but I'm not sure it will fit and be compatible with 1155 socket

at the moment I have quad core 8300, ddr2 ram and asus p5q deluxe motherboard.

I would like to get fairly same performance with chance to upgrade.

Would this do? or any recommendations.

Motherboard
MSI H61M-P31-W8 Intel H61
processor
Intel Core i3-3240 3.40GHz
ram
Kingston HyperX Blu 4GB

Most coolers marketed today have adapters for multiple sockets.
You may possibly need to contact Arctic cooling if you need one.
But... the i5 chips run cool, and the stock cooler will do the job. Under heavy cpu load, it might get noisy.

If you might want to upgrade to a 3570K in the future, I suggest you buy a Z77 based motherboard up front.

If you will not ever buy a "K" cpu, then a B75 based motherboard will be better, it will have 6gb sata and usb3.0.

What case do you plan on using?

In terms of case I think Silverstone SG02F, it need to be white and htcp or cube, but there are not a lot of them on the market atm.

As well is upper i3 better then quad q or should I go for mid range i5
