I have a pretty slow net connection of 630 kbps... which isn't bad most of the time, I've been trying to use the Microsoft Store on Windows 8.1, but it keeps showing the loading screen and shutting off, it worked fine right after I updated to Windows 8.1 via the store but I haven't needed to use it for a while. I can see stuff on the store using Windows 8.1s new search method with Everything but if I pick an app to install it says the nets too slow. Is there a way I can download apps via browser or do something about this?

Haha it's too late now, I gave up, yesterday I was trying to play an online game and my FPS dropped like crazy so I got srsly annoyed. Also the PC in general got sooo slow. So I reset it to Win 8... I spoke to my friend, he has a HP desktop and I have a HP laptop, he said something about HP releasing updates for the drivers which apparently helps the lag with Win 8.1. Do you understand what that means cause I don't. I'm not very knowledgeable in this stuff. Now that I have Win 8 again it's MUCH faster. It still takes less than 10 seconds to come on. :D

M y problem is that the Store doesn't even open at all - the tile just bounces around and goes nowhere. Going straight to eh MS site also gets me nowhere at all. It seems there are W8 installations that don't qualify for automatic upgrade to the Service Pack they call 8.1 and I may have to mess around burning an ISO on to a DVD. That is a step too far and I shalln't bothering to do it.

I suspect those who bought the special offer for £25 British back in January may not qualify but I doubt that would ever be admitted.
