Hi, i was about to install my mobo until i realized my io shield cut my index finger, didn
t know until i noticed blood on my finger.

I assessed my motherboard and noticed blood inside: http://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/dd456/assbanger/20131103_0147391_zps005aa15a.jpg
Right betwwen cpu mount and intel logo there's blood dried; and on cpu mount :'(''

I tried to use vavuum to suck it up but dried so fast that i had no chance.
i have no idea if it's okay or not.

Would removing it do anything and if so what would you advise?

I don't like gloves due to their conductive nature, sorry any advise would be great or is it too late.

Solution
circuit boards are pretty tough, in fact, this toothbrush method is used after you solder components to a circuit board.

If you find its too tight for a toothbrush, you can use a small paint brush also. Be careful while cleaning to not hit components with the brush, make precise controlled movements on the surface you want to clean.

Oh sweet so its okay. few, nah its new motherboard (sadly intel makes deadly component blood rituals) that i got cheap.

What type of alcohol would be recommended; any even beer... hmmm or methelated 99%. is a ear bud okay.

What happens if the bloods resilliant.

Okay, will do. i guess this's common lol. *shux*

But in the future what would happen ifi t was on cpu socket or dims. well i guess anythings bad just need to be careful as that would be aweful.

Finding rubbing alcohol at content level of 100 percent is impossible, let alone 99 percent. ( yeah chemists sell it but i need a perscription that's beyond my understanding.)

Only 70 percent content i'm able to find and yet it's diluted in water.

Jesus _ _ _ _ _ _ _

Yeah hardware stores sell it but the contents trivial as varnish to methylated spirits.

70% should be okay, but im sure you can find 99% somewhere. In Canada, you could pick one up at a local walmart or drug store.

You shouldn't need a prescription for it.

if you really cant find it, use 70%, its fine. I've use as low as 55% and I haven't done damage. Just be extra super careful and use a Q-tip or something to clean just the problematic spot

Okay, i found propopyl 99.8 percent, i used a earbud pick; pulled a pinch off to make it snuggly like a mop and the final verdict:

Great now i've got mutant motherboard (like a murder victim under a rug from long exposure)

I vigorously tried to clean the blood off, its like melted into the blue heat sync, but i did manage to clean some of it off but only the very small chips mounted on pcb.

Oh now im scared to turn it on. :(

Oh, i have idea?

What happens if i power up the board and the blood bubbles should i use alcohol too clean the dried up blood as its easier, hair dryer instead maybe (risky tho as im unsure if its gonna go on)

Need verification as im not familiar with what the bloods dried on, need research a typical motherboard.

ok that doesn't look too bad..., you can still clean it better though. Use an old toothbrush with alcohol and scrub it down. Don't worry about using a little, gentle force. make sure that theres no blood between 2 metal contacts. after you do this, rub off excess alchol with some tissue(don't leave lint on the board) and let it dry for a couple hours.

warning: don't get anything into the cpu socket!!!

then you should be fine to power it up.

I have no idea how to reply to that advise as I used 99 alcohol on toothbrush to clean all the parts. I scrubbed it n its off.

What you mean delicate parts #shrugs# :(

Its all delicate too me so unless you mean the case its self id use hammer, or drill but I'm no expert.

not enjoying this pc build . I like code a and stuff.:(

Cpu unsure, thats another topic yet to be addressed :(
Radiator install not checked, cant seem to find the right place to install it in my tower case, plus i like flashy led lights but seems i'll need to replace it because i cannot connect a certain called in.
