yesterday I ooted up my PC and only o discover that there was o signal from the GPU so after fiddling with the monitor to no avail, I plugged i intothe motherboard DVI. And then windows popped up on screen. I then tryed to open the nvidia control panel and it said there is no NVidia graphics card detected on your computer...not good considering i paid over $400 for my GTX 770 a few months ago. Not to mention I just made a purchase on newegg a day ago for a 144hz monitor. I also noticed under installed programs it automaticall istalled the intel HD software. I unplugged everthing and took out my GP and put it back in started it up wnet into BIOS to amke sure it was using the GPU and it wroked as it ever did. I am using the Asus P8Z77 V LX, so not the best MB but i have only been using it since july(first Build)

Solution
Your GPU may have just had a bad conection with its PCIE slot. That can happen over time with cases that have the motherboard installed vertically, as newer cards are heavier and gravity/vibrations tend to sometimes cause faulty/intermittent seating/connection.

edit: by removing and re-installing the GPU you would have fixed the issue in all probablity.

Well first at all do you have latest mobo bios installed. If u do, first what would i do is replace your card from blue to black pcie 3.0 port. After that try entering your pc. Also sayme what psu do you have and while you are booting your pc give a look on gpu fans, say me weather are they spinning.

I hope you are right my PC has been since and I am on the fence about keeping my PC on all the time, but sicne it boots up fats i don't mind having to turn it on but I also heard that constantly putting power on and off to your components can be bad and probalbly the bad for the mothrerboard. I remeber when I was using my Sisters PC when I lived at home It was and older p4 and the MB that it used must have been built to last cause it still works fine. Basically I don't want to be afriad to turn my PC off.

You will find people on both sides of the question concerning leaving your computer on 24/7 or turning it on and off as needed.

Personally, I leave my computer on all the time, when I am through, it will go into sleep mode, when I come back, all I have to do is move around my mouse or hit a keyboard key and it wakes up. I am one of those that believe the stress of high currents during start-up do more harm than leaving it running with minimal power draw and just waking it up, thus avoiding the current surges.

I have my computer mostly in high power/performance mode but i have it so the disk drives turn off after 40 mintues and the display turns off in 45 minutes. I think the drives only turn off if you don't use that paticular drive for whatever time you have set. even if you move the mouse and the screen turns on the drives are still off. How muh power does your PC use in idle??? all I know is the CPU has a 77w TDP, and the GPU has a 230w TDP when it is under a heavy load.... I do have a voltage regulator though and it is a big box and I am pretty sure it is of good quality.
