What worries me is that with a 7950 it would get bottlenecked by the CPU in games which use nvidia physx

I'd rather go with Nvidia because of the problems i had with AMD's drivers and weird graphics i got with the 6850. I was curious when i got the 6850 and now i'm coming back to the green side :D Even if the 7950 was faster i still wouldn't go for it because a few fps more doesn't cover the weird graphics AMD's cards produce and also in games that require Nvidia physx would take a heavier load on my CPU.

We'll see how it does with the new GPU. Though i don't do any CPU demanding tasks instead of gaming and if anyone would ask me for an opinion about this CPU i would only have good things to say about it. It served me well these 3 and a half years and i'll upgrade it if i see it bottlenecking the new GPU or i start doing rendering and heavy CPU intensive tasks :D Though as a possible upgrade for the CPU i'd take the FX 8350
