Best connection for my setup?

Sorry if this is a stupid question or has been asked before, but I haven't been able to find a straight answer through Google.

What is the best connection type for 2560x1440p (hopefully at 100+ MHz refresh rate) Dual Link DVI or DisplayPort?

The reason I ask is not only because I want to use the best connection but I'm between monitors;

Qnix QX2710 which only has DVI and is $300 or

Qnix QX2710 Evo II which has HDMI, DP, and DVI but is $350.

As I indicated before I will be attempting to OC my monitor to hopefully around 100 MHz. This setup will be powered by a 780ti just as soon as their available. Thanks in advance!

If you want to overclock to 100hz (60hz is standard for this monitor) refresh, you need the DVI only model...
Normally, I would say it does not matter, they are all digital connections.
I am no expert on displayport, but I think that may be the way to go for you.
I have been researching 4k monitors, and the main obstacle to the reasonably priced ones is the conection. HDMI will not do 60hz on a 4k monitor. DP will, but there are no 4k monitors yet with such a coneection.

Thanks to both of you, that's exactly what I was looking for. Lastly, should I invest in a decent aftermarket DP cable or is the one that comes with the card adequate?

The one that comes with the card will be fine - too many sites try to sell expensive cables, and none of them are any better.

If you want to overclock to 100hz (60hz is standard for this monitor) refresh, you need the DVI only model of the QX2710. The multiport model is reported to not overclock.
