When I watch certain things on my 120hz monitors, I can clearly see the difference of when the display is actually broadcasting at 120 fps. For instance if I watch a twitch stream of someone playing a game, it looks buttery smooth and it looks like how 120 fps should look.
However, when I go into a game and take all the measures I can to actually run the game at 120 fps, it just doesn't look right. FPS counters say 120 and V sync is off yet the game still doesn't look as smooth as I feel it should. Has anybody else noticed something like this, and if so found a reason why?
