Hello, I thank you for clicking. I am in need of a 4 over 4 , possibly 5 over 5 multi monitor system.
I found the ergotech apex systems for 4 over 4 19-20" monitors (http://www.ergolcd.com/Ergotech-900-F16-B44.html). I saw the 5 over 5 version but am I little hesitant to do another 2 monitors for another $500. Seems a little absurd, price wise. As one can imagine, there are only a small portion of users doing setups like this so there isnt much out there search/support wise. I am guessing that I will need to do 2 independent video cards in whatever system supports this. However, I have no experience whatsoever in the graphics area of this. What do I need to do for graphic cards? Also does anyone have any recommendations on tiny bezel monitors in this size range? The monitors don't need to be amazing, just small bezel, 1080p or better resolution, VESA 75mm/100mm support and have display port .
I am not exactly clear on how I mount or configure a large rig like this to a desk. My current desk is borderless glass and steel so I can't exactly drill into it. I am also a little unclear how I can make the Apex system freestanding hence asking for recommendations here as well including other products that have the same features.
This is an office computer for finance/markets/risk analysis. This is not a gaming machine. I don't want or need gaming power. I need utility to run a dependable rig 24/7/365/weneverclose/alwaysonandchurning. The actual build of the system supporting the graphics will conform to what is needed display-wise to make this happen. I would really appreciate some expert input. Budget for displays is <=$3k. Total budget $5-6k. I want to keep it on the low end.
Thank you
