Hey I've just been wondering what's wrong with my CPU

I7-3770k idle temps 30~40
Most other games 30~70
Battlefield 4 60~70
I've only had the CPU in a month anyone know what's wrong with it.

Solution
If you are still using the stock cooler, get something cheap and effective like the CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO for cheap. Great performance, great price, super popular. It will give you the ability to overclock and will improve the lifespan of your chip.

I had overheating problems with the stock cooler, idle temps 34-36c and while rendering and gaming +80c. Bought Cooler Master Hyper TX3 EVO (about 20 $) the temps dropped to 25-30c on idle, gaming 50-54, and on prime 95, the ultimate test 60c. Its really easy to install , it took me like 15 min.

No they won't, 70c is pretty warm, but nothing to be worried about. If you would have 75+ constantly, then I'd be uncomfortable.

A good aftermarket cooler is a good idea in any case, with time temps will rise as your case fills with crap, thermal paste bakes and cracks and so on, so better have more thermal headroom. Also if you will have a sudden urge to overclock you will be covered.

No need to go wild either - a good, reasonably priced air cooler like Hyper 212 EVO or Freezer I30 will cover all your needs and won't cost an arm and a leg. I would also shy away from cheap water cooling solutions, they have tendency to degrade with time.

I suggest you go with aircooling instead of watercooling.
no offense but you don't seem to have a lot experience with this and with watercooling a lot more things can go wrong.

Well AIO closed loops are relatively simple. But yes, air cooling is still probably the best bet.
