I office behind the house about 200' away from my Linksys E2500 router. It's not enough and the dual-band isn't even visible out there. When it does connect, which is inconsistent, it connects to the 2.4 ghz band. I am looking for an alternative and experts-exchange recommended this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833162070 for $70.
Is this still a good choice? I run a risk of it not working like my Linksys from Wal-Mart, so I am trying to do all the research I can. I seem to be the only tech guy in the neighborhood also, so the ability to support the occasional guest would be nice also.
This is to say that range is super important to me if I can do it without going broke.
