This problem has started since monday and I was wondering if it's something to worry. I have a custom built computer with an intel processor. Whenever I turn on the computer, the LED lights on the fans flicker. I had this computer for about ten months now and I was wondering if that's the cause of it.

the fan will only blink if the power in the system not stable. look to see if there connected to the power supply or a fan controller. if there connected to the fan controller see if the error there if a fan connected to the system board or to the power supply.

So how would I do that? do I have to open up the computer and check it?

the fans' wires are connected on top of the tower. I unplugged them and the fans stopped. Then I plugged it back in, and the fan lights are flickering still. all the fans are flickering now.

This is the tower I have, not the exact one, but the same shape.

I would get a program that shows the temperatures of the motherboard and CPU. it will also give you fan speeds. The most important fan on the motherboard is the CPU fan. If the CPU fan is running correctly the CPU will be in temp. I wouldn't worry too much about case fans blinking as long as my temps are all right. If you remain concerned your choice is to replace the power supply and see if the issue goes away.
