Is it normal to have massive fps drops in some areas while maxed out at x8 MSAA while having smooth 60fps no drops on x4 MSAA?
my gpu handles battlefield 4 and Crysis 4 maxed out at 60fps, I find it odd that Max Payne 3 cant run maxed out on my rig. Are any of you having this issue?

Anyway,if your card is the 2GB version,it is maybe pushing the card too much for VRAM for a rock solid 60fps.I have a 3GB R9 280X and I too get problems and dips with 8xMSAA,while dropping to 4xMSAA works just fine.Not sure,but NVIDIA recommends a minimum of a 600W PSU for that card,so it could be a power issue as well.
