So here are most of the parts I'm planning to buy:
AMD FX-9590 Octa Core CPU 4.7GHz, 16MB, 220W
Nvidia GeForce GTX 690
Corsair 64GB Vengeance Ram
Asustek Xonar Essence STX 2 Channel PCI Express Audio Card
Asus Sabertooth X79 Motherboard
Corsair Neutron GTX SSD
NZXT Phantom USB 3.0 Big Tower Chassis
Noctua - Heatsink + Fan CPU Cooling Kit - Dual Fan.

First off, would that work? I did my research, and as far as I can tell it will, but I need to be sure. xD Secondly, I still need a power unit, etc. Can you help me on this? I'm pretty much a noob, so yeah.

Start of with your cpu doesnt fit the motherboard, i suggest either going with the Asus sabertooth 990FX http://www.scan.co.uk/products/asus-sabertooth-990fx-rev-2-amd-990fx-s-am3plus-ddr3-sata-iii-6gb-s-sata-raid-pcie-20-%28x16%29-atx-rev2 or the Asus Crosshair V Formula http://www.scan.co.uk/products/asus-crosshair-v-formula-z-amd-990fx-s-am3plus-ddr3-sata-iii-6gb-s-sata-raid-pcie-20-%28x16%29-atx both boards have different specs so its down to you to choose which one, for the power supply i suggest getting the corsair tx 750w http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Enthusiast-Series-Bronze-TX750/dp/B004MYFODI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1383436374&sr=8-1&keywords=750w+corsair or if you're wanting to manage your cables easily go with the corsair cx 750w http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Builder-Series-Bronze-Certified/dp/B008RJZQSW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1383436483&sr=8-2&keywords=750w+corsair ;3

First of All RAM bigger then 16 GBs for a gaming kill is a big time overkill,
AMD have physical cores i agreer those are weaker then intel CPU heavy duty cores
your GPU is the main thing matters for gaming.check this rig even below 3K and this will rip off the soul of any game on ultra settings

Question : What is the reason behind putting 64 GB ram in system ?

Thanks for your help guys! And to answer your question about 64GB of ram, that's for multitasking with multiple screens(playing games and recording etc), and also video editing with multiple screens in ultra high resolution. I believe with the Sabertooth 990FX it would have to be 32GB max.
