Hows this 450$ gaming build?

Solution

Looks good, very practical. My only suggestion is to bite the bullet and go up to an FX series CPU. It will cost a little more, but here's why:

Newer architecture, TDP differences, newer boards. The benefit is that you can upgrade to a better CPU with the same socket type in a few years if you wanted to buff the CPU up. You could also just get a new CPU and mobo at that point, but it could save you some money in the future.

CPU: AMD FX-4130 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor ($89.96 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: MSI 970A-G43 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($59.99 @ Microcenter)

Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($63.75 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($59.98 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: MSI Radeon HD 7850 2GB Video Card ($109.99 @ Newegg)
Case: NZXT Source 210 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case ($29.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: Corsair Builder 500W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V Power Supply ($24.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $438.65

Down the road you could get the 6-core 6300 or the 8-core 8350, both will still go in that board.
