What is a good upgrade for this gaming pc

Hi, i was wondering what would be a good upgrade for this system. I was thinking about an SSD for windows to go on. Thanks guys

Parts in this system:
CPU: intel i5 3570k
Motherboard: asus p8z77-v lk
Ram: corsair vengeance 8gb
CPU cooler: cooler master hyper 212
PSU: seasonic m12-II 650w
GPU: sapphire hd 7870 xt
Windows hard drive:5400rpm 160gb
Data hard drive: old seagate Barracuda 7200rpm 500gb
Case: cooler master haf 912

Your CPU and GPU are still pretty good. I'd go with an SSD or perhaps even a new HDD since you can get a 1TB WD Blue for about $60.

You are definitely going to want to change that Windows hard drive. That will slow your system a lot. I recommend going with an SSD for the operating system.

Thanks for the reply, i have been looking at the samsung 840 evo 120gb SSD. I might buy that soon and replace the 160gb windows drive.

I was thinking it might be a good idea to buy a seagate solid sate hybrid drive. So i don't run out of space on my 500gb date drive, i would put windows and my date on it. On two different partitions. Thanks

Do you think if i have two partitions on it, would it mess up the ssd caching system.

I don't suggest a hybrid drive. They have been known for having a lot of problems and aren't that much faster than a regular HDD.

Ok as my date drive is old and has bad sectors, i will buy a new 1tb drive and then an ssd for windows.
