I have 2 Gateway GZ7112 all in one computers. They seem to work well and I like them. My Wife uses hers constantly and it has functioned for at least 4 years without any problem. Except for the time our cats knocked it over and killed the hard drive. They came with 1 GB of memory and I decided I wanted to increase to 4 Gb, the maximum they could support. I purchased 2 modules of 2 Gb each and was very careful they were the same exact specifications as the OEM except for being 2 Gb instead of 1 Gb each. With both in place for a total of 4 Gb the computer won't even boot to the bios screen. If I remove one of them or replace one of them with one of the 1 Gb modules for a total of 3 Gb the computer works fine. It will also work fine with only one of the 2 Gb modules but not with both. The OS is Vista Ultimate 32. I cannot understand why the 4 Gb doesn't work as it is supposed to.
