after a BIOS update on my dell insperon 17r special edition, the laptop boots to a blank aqua blue screen, no mouse, and the screen will flicker if I press the enter, f8 or f10 keys. ctr+alt+del will restart the pc and then I can press the f12 key to get bios options.
there are two hard drives installed on the pc. a 1 tb one with my data on it and a 120g ssd that has windows on it. before the bios update when I would start the computer it would give a no operating system found error the kick me to the bios option menu where I would select "windows boot manger" and everything would boot as normal. that option is now gone. if I put the bios in legacy safe boot mode it just gives the "no operating system found" error for all boot options.
I have been able to boot a usb stick with freeDOS on it.
