Since both Bulldozer and Piledriver are used with the FX-Series CPU's which are designed for graphics intensive programs like gaming and such and If the Piledriver is an improvement on Bulldozer and Steamroller is an improvement on Piledriver it would lead me to believe that the Steamroller is replacing the Vishera core used in the high-end FX 8350, that makes me want to believe that the Kaveri is also geared towards enthusiast level gaming, i could be wrong but think about what the Kaveri is replacing and it all makes sense, the Kaveri is basically a Vishera core with improvements made to performance and efficiency, the Kaveri will spell the end for the AM3+ Socket and the FX-series CPU, pondering thoughtlessly..

Kaveri is an APU, there is no codename released for the FX line if any will be coming out. I'm hoping AMD is keeping quiet on it like they did with their graphics cards, so they can announce it and release it in a couple months. From what has been leaked on engineering samples of the APU, I'm quite hopeful. An FX CPU based on steamroller would be very very nice indeed. But I'm not holding my breath.
