Can Intel Core i5 4670 be unlocked?

I was going to build a new PC...
Just I was asking that can I unlock i5 4670 for full overclocking?


This was my rig for new pc-
Intel Core i5 4670
MSI Z87-G43
Antec DF-85 Full Tower Chassis
Corsair GS700
Corsair Vengeance Dual Channel 8GB(2x4GB)
Zotac GTX 650Ti AMP! Edition 2GB
Seagate Barracuda 500GB HDD
LG DVD Burner

no, you'll need to purchase the "K" version.

That's because it is unlocked... Really, dude, are you going to bring out Pentium 2 as an example of Intel overclock next or something?

I5-4670 non-K can't be overclocked, end of story.

No dude, you can't, that's the whole point. You MAY be able to play with BCLK to some extent, but that is pretty worthless as far as overclocking goes.

Hmm okay... But I have an AMD FX 6100 and I can overclock it without unlocking it... So whats with that?

The answer to your question is no. However, like any other CPU, you can overclock by increasing front side bus speeds, ram speed etc - the old-school way that we have normally OC'd all along.

The answer to your question is no. However, like any other CPU, you can overclock by increasing front side bus speeds, ram speed etc - the old-school way that we have normally OC'd all along.

what i know that all the amd fx processors are fully unlocked
