Hey everybody. Hopefully someone out there can help me!
When starting up my system I am presented with a black screen with a flashing white underscore in the top left corner. ( I believe this is because the system can't find an OS) anyway if I restart and press F8 at startup, I come to the boot options menu, when I select the HDD where the OS is, windows starts normally...
Any ideas? My boot order is flash drive, cd then the correct HDD...

Thank you in advance for any help!!

Solution
My boot order is flash drive, cd then the correct HDD

The system HDD should be placed as first in the boot order, not third.

Only place other boot devices first when you actually need to boot from them, or use the "one time only" boot device selector which is usually accessed by pressing F12 at boot time.

Thank you so so much!! You're a legend. But I'm curious, how would my order have changed in the first place? I didn't change the settings...
