Would this system and monitor work in BF4 Ultra and be decent for the next 2-4 years?

Hey Everybody, just wanted to know your opinions on this system:

Motherboard: MSI Z87-G55
CPU: i5 4670k (I might overclock it slightly)
CPU Fan: Xigmatek Prime CPU Fan (High-end Air Cooling)
Memory: 8GB (2x4) 2133 mhz (Corsair Vengeance Pro)
GPU: GTX 770 2GB (SLI in Future when needed)
Power Supply: CoolerMaster 850watt Silent Pro M2 Modular Gaming
SSD: 128GB Plextor PX-M5P (I will have my OS on this and some/many (depending on which) games on it including Battlefield 4)
HDD: 500GB SATA-III (Data Hard Drive for all other files and non-demanding programs)
Monitor: VG248QE (HDMI Connection)
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate (Will install it myself)


All opinions are appreciated. By the way, I am on a budget and I have gone over a bit already (This system costs 922 pounds on CyberPCSystems.co.uk), so if you have any additions, please be thoughtful.

Any other questions, please ask, as I am looking forward to the best recommendations (please add reasoning!)

System is fine, but i am afraid 2gb video memory could be a bottleneck in near future. games like crysis 3, battlefield 4 and even 3 sometimes use more than 2gb of vram. Next gen titles will surely offer better txtures, AA options and other, Vram consuming stuff. That's why I reckon that r9 290x toxic/r9 290/ gtx 780 or 4gb gtx 770 are better options.

Which GPU would you recommend that is not much more expensive?
Would R9 280X be better in this situation and then Crossfire them in the future?

You can pick another 770, but with 4gb of Vram. 280x is also a great choice, its cheaper BUT a little bit weaker card. It depends how bf4-intense is your rig. If you plan to play bf4 all the time with short breaks for other games, r9 280x is the way to go because of the mantle API that' s going to give GCN radeons significant perfoemance boost. If you decide to pick r9 290, I recommend TOXIC version. Its the fastest one.

Crossfire is having the bugs ironed out so I agree with the other post.

Also it might be worth looking into a Corsair, XFX or Seasonic PSU - nothing wrong with yours but there are better ones around for similar prices.

And finally you will save £100-£150 if you build it yourself. It really isn't difficult and you could spend that saved money on better parts. :)

Another thing to add, is I live in Switzerland and I am ordering the prebuilt PC from UK. The reason I am not putting the PC together myself, is because all the separate parts will be expensive to purchase from other countries and deliver here, and buying them in Switzerland is like dumping extra money down the drain. Another reason I want it prebuilt, is because I am still a bit new to this whole thing (I have read a lot and watched many videos), but I am still more confident in someone building it for me.

The PSU Choice is limited to One PSU per each Wattage. Also I have heard that AMD has many problems with Crossfire and that Nvidia is more reliable with it's SLI.

About the GTX 770 4GB, it is 45 pounds more expensive and I am not sure if it is really worth it...

That said, would you say: GTX 760 4GB or Radeon R9 280X 3GB?

I might have found a solution. Since I am going to be ordering a Monitor to my friend's in France, I can as well order a GTX 770 4GB (Gigabyte) Video Card too from Amazon, which will be cheaper than purchasing it from Cyberpowersystems.co.uk all together with the system. Installing a GPU is easy, I have done it on my old PC 2 years ago.

And then in the future I could SLI this GPU (in like1.5 - 2.5 years)

I would just like to add, maybe a bit more ram? 8gb is fine for now but i imagine future games will use a lot more, maybe 16gb?
Or if you can, change your motherboard to one which allows more ram slots, so you can have 4x4gb, as that is cheaper than 2x8gb?
I also agree, making your own setup will save you a lot!
