I assembled the unit with all new parts: Cooler master mATX elite 343 case, Cooler Master 700 watt power source, Gigabyte GA-H77M-D3H motherboard, Intel i5-3570K proccessor, Seagate Barracuda 2 tb hard drive, 2 Patriot 4gb memory sticks installed in slot 1 and 2, 2 patriot 2gb memory sticks installed in slot 3 and 4 and optical drives. I try to load the os, Windows 7, and it never finishes loading. I keep getting blue screens continuously. same result when I try windows vista just to see if it works. compatability? Bios settings? I checked and double checked all of my connections. I set the bios to optimum default settings.

This solved the problem. Patriot DDR3 4gb (2 x 2gb kit) PSD34G1333KH is NOT COMPATIBLE with the Giabyte GA-H77M-D3H motherboard.
I used Patriot DDR3 8gb (2 x 4gb kit) PV38G160C0KGN for series7 platform and XMP ready. system is up and running and am using it right now to send this message. Thanks for the help, I greatly appreciate it!!
