Hi,
I have one HD monitor/tv going into the HDMI socket as my main display, another on HD monitor/tv on a HDMI to mini-display adapter and another monitor on the DVI socket, no adapter.

I can get Catalyst to recognise all three monitors and can get any combination of two monitors working but it will not allow me to extend monitors across all three simultaneously. It always insists that I disable one of them first.

I am assuming It may be because I am using the wrong combination of ports to allow me to do three monitors but cant find any documentation to say otherwise.

any ideas? I am on windows 7, 64 bit.

just to simplify this is what I have.

Samsung hdtv/HDMI to HDMI socket
Samsung hdtv/HDMI to mini display socket
Dell monitor/DVI to DVI socket

I'm guessing your mDP to HDMI adapter isn't an active one. You need to use an active mDP to HDMI/DVI adapter to make this work.

I have a 7950 with four monitors attached. One DVI to DVI, two mDP to DVI with active adapters, and my 40" LCD TV over HDMI. All four work just fine.
